"As an Aquarium enthusiast for over 40 years, I chose my first South American collecting trip to be to Uruguay and with Felipe Cantera. There is no better choice than Felipe.

I received an absolutely wonderful two week emersion into the fish and habitats of the Uruguayian waters. We caught all of the targhet species that we were looking for and even had the surprise of some wonderful unexpected species of fish.

While Cichlids is the targets for most people we learned about and caught lots of other types of fish such as Catfish, Livebearers and Tetras. The diversity of their fish is amazing and we were able to experience them all.

With Felipe you not only experience the fish, but you get to experience the People of Uruguay. I found them to be very pleasant and the language barrier seemed to be non existent with the help of Felipe and Alejandro. Not to be outdone the food was wonderful and even though I am a diabetic there was no incident that created any problems for me. I already miss the fresh juice every morning.

Every detail of our trip was planned out to the last detail by Felipe. And even though we had a group of eight people everything went off without a hitch.

Will I go back? You can count on it Felipe, we are already making plans for our return and look forward to Felipe to show us the way through even more of Uruguay."
