"For a few years, I have been dreaming of going to Uruguay to collect cichlids with Felipe Cantera, my gymnogeophagus friend. This year, the dream came true!
Thanks to Felipe, I saw, I fished, and held in my hands, the fish that I dream about. These fish are now in my tanks and when I look at them, I have wonderful memories:
I see magnificent landscapes flooded with sun, beautiful rivers, colorful birds nesting in lush vegetation.
I see Felipe catching snakes, Pedro having fun with a bat, and
all the new friends with nets in their hands, buckets full of coveted fish.
There was a lot of laughter in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere; this is natural around Felipe and his beautiful little family. They really know the meaning of
hospitality. There are many other memories I'll never forget!
I returned from Uruguay, but my thoughts remain there. You can find them at the bottom of the Rio Yi.
Uruguay holds many surprises, exceptional flora and fauna
that Felipe is very familiar with and knows how to find.
He takes care of everything, including his guests.
All this leaves you just wanting to go back... I have already booked my next trip!
Thank you to the Cantera family and to Pedro!" |
